Kevin, and his wife Danielle, are commissioned pastors in the Presbyterian Church (USA) (PCUSA) serving in Concrete, Washington since 2017. In addition to transforming the congregation’s ministry and economic model informed by their own Christ-transformed lives,
Kevin helped to create a property oversight committee in Northwest Coast Presbytery, with a vision of re-imagining and re-developing church properties for the future of the communities where they are located.
Additionally, Kevin has organized and operated multiple cold weather shelters and helped to bring medically assisted treatment (MAT) to eastern Skagit County. All of this community development has led him to a place in leadership where he works with multiple service providers on a regular basis and engages with several different forms of government, from mayors to county commissioners, as well as law enforcement.
Currently, Kevin serves on the Advisory Group and Recovery Task Force for North Star, the Northwest Coast Presbytery Executive Board, the Mission Partner Taskforce and Property Oversight Committee, and the Board of Directors and Tribal Alignment Committee for
North Sound ACH.
Kevin’s work, dedication, and commitment to his community have been recognized locally and nationally. He regularly works with rural churches and nonprofits, creating pathways for partnership between the two to better serve impoverished communities. Most recently, he helped develop a guide for congregations on how to partner well that can be used by churches across the country regardless of denomination.
Kevin and his wife, Danielle, have an inspiring life story of suffering and resurrection, making them uniquely qualified for ministry and the vital work of healing peoples' trauma inflicted by the Christian faith. Their leadership is marked by humility and curiosity - qualities welcomed and respected in diverse spaces.
Kevin and Danielle have been featured in numerous articles nationwide, have been the subject of documentaries, and, more recently, have approved the writing of a screenplay based on their story. Together, they focus on taking their congregation further on their spiritual journey and a ministry to the ones that need it most. They work and live in Sedro Woolley with their three youngest children.

Your lived stories, your embodied courage and hopefulness, your expectations for what God will do next are inspiring!
Participants could palpably taste the sense of possibility you shared while recognizing the courage, resilience, and setbacks that always accompany a Gospel-risky adventure.
Ever since Wednesday morning I have been approached by participant after participant with comments like..”that was the best experience of this whole General Assembly,” “I’m excited to jump in and learn more,” “that panel was inspiring!”
